Some incorrect info in that ad.

The VIN of that car will show that it's a 1994 build. One of the early S4's in fact. In 1997, Lotus Australia imported, officially, a bunch of unsold cars from Thailand or Philipines, or something like that (I can't remember). They all have 1997/8 compliance plates on, but they are 1994 builds. Lotus Australia put the "anniversary" badges on in order to sell them as something "special". Most of the cars were musty and had rust and electrical issues due to where they came from.

Regarding the brakes, all Esprits from 1994 on had the Brembo brakes. Only the 1993 S4's had the earlier smaller SE set-up. That's as close as that car gets to a S4s.

Thanks, I saw it yesterday soon after the ad was placed. Having recently purchased a Landcruiser, my Esprit funds are now a bit more limited than the asking price. Will let the piggy bank recover a bit and see what happens to the price on this one  :o)
